项目摘要

知的障害者のグループホームは、平成元年の国の制度化以後、これまでの「入所施設か家庭か」という限定された二者択一の条件に対して第三の住居として広がりつつある。今年度は、1833箇所のグループホームに郵送調査を実施し、931ホームの4142名の入居者についての情報を分析した。その結果は以下の通りであった。1.知的障害の程度は軽度の人33%、中度46%、重度18%である。国の制度によるホームでは軽度35%、中度48%、重度17%、地方自治体の制度によるホームでは軽度32%、中度47%、重度21%でほぼ同じ状況にある。2.ホームの入居者の男女構成について見ると、男性のみのホームが41.3%、女性のみのホームが22.7%、男女が一緒に生活しているホームが34.3%である。3.昼間の仕事先は、「会社に就労」は、2,〓1人(62.6%)、「通所施設、小規模作業所」は、1,399人(33.8%)である。国の制度で運営しているホームの入居者1832人の仕事場は、会社が76%、通所施設が14%、作業所が9%となっているが、地方自治体で運営しているホームの場合は、会社が51%、通所施設が20%、作業所が25%と企業就労と福祉就労がほぼ半分になっている。4.入居者がホームで生活し始める直前の生活場所は、「入所施設」が最も多く1,983人(47.9%)、ついで「家庭」1,236人(29.8%)、「通勤寮」794人(19.2%)となっている。5.土、日の家庭への帰省は、毎週帰省する入居者が18.9%、月1～2日帰省する人が15.2%、帰らない人が64.9%である。バックアップ施設種別で見ると、通所施設がバックアップしているグループホーム入居者(431人)では50%が週2日帰宅している。正月などの帰省先は「父母の家」60.2%、「兄弟の家」15.1%、「その他」6%、「なし」18.1%である。
