Relationship between human jaw movement and craniofacial morphology based on functional development

It has been generally summarized that human jaw movement was close relation to their occlusion. Head investigator and investigators of this project, therefore, from their previous research, had suggested the human jaw movement should be rather close relation to craniofacial morphology.The purpose of this project is to identify the relation between human jaw movement and craniofacial morphology in developmental stage with cross-sectional investigation of 5 different stage populations consisted from infant, junior, junior high and high school, and university.In the first year, we had established the methodology of this project which were 1) Craniofacial measurements, 2) Symmetrical examination for face, 3) Examination for masticatory efficiency, 4) Examination for pH level and quantity of saliva, 5) Examination for jaw movement.
