项目摘要

本研究は、ジャイナ教聖典の中でも最古層に属し、最も重要であると見做されている聖典群の正順と逆順の語彙索引を、パーソナル・コンピュータによって作成することを目的として遂行された。独自に開発したサンスクリット語フォントを使用して、まず、『ダサヴェーヤ-リヤ』(Dasaveya4liya)に現われる全語彙の正順と逆順の索引作成を、次のような順序で行った。1.ローマ字に転写し、コンピュータに入力されたテキストをプリントアウトし、一字・一句細心の注意を払いながら校正し、コンピュータ上に正確なテキストを作成した。2.このテキストを底本として、内容を正確に把握し、連声(sandhi)を考慮しつつ、単語ごとに分解した。3.単語ごとに分解されたテキストをプリントアウトし、再度、誤読をしていないかどうかを、一字・一句綿密にチェックした。4.単語ごとに分解されたテキストを、これまでに開発したプログラムを走らせて、プラークリット語の語順(word order)にソ-トし、語彙の正順と逆順の索引を作成した。同様な順序で、『イシバ-シヤ-イム』(Isibha^^-siya^^-im)、『ア-ヤ-ランガ』(A^^-ya^^-ran^^・ga)、『ス-ヤガダ』(Su^^-yad^^・a)の正順と逆順の語彙索引を、順次作成し、出版・公表した。同様にして、もう一つの重要なテキストである『ウッタラッジャーヤー』(Uttarajjha^^-ya^^-)の語彙索引を出版・公表すべく研究を進めている。今後、これらの語彙索引に基づいて『アルダマガダ語・サンスクリット対応語・和訳辞典』の編纂を計画している。
