本研究では下接の条件(subjacency condition)を逸脱した文を用い,この種の非文の文法性判断にもNagata(1992)と同様な係留効果(対比効果)が生じるかどうかを検討した.[実験1][方法]下接の条件を逸脱した2種の文型を用いた.一方は従属節が主節名詞句の内的感情や態度を表している文型(subjective)であり,他方はそのような特徴を含まない文型(nonsubjective)である.実験計画3(係留文:文呈示群,非文呈示群,統制群)X2(文型)の要因計画.係留刺激である文ないし非文とtarget文をランダムに対呈示し,7段階で係留文およびtarget文の文法性の判断を求めた.統制群は係留文の判断の代わりに,3桁数字2個の加算課題を行った.[結果]文呈示条件においてのみ対比効果が得られた.[実験2]実験1のtarget文を2種類の係留文(基本文,変形文)と対呈示して文法性の判断を求め,同様の対比効果が生じるかどうかを検討した.[方法]実験計画3(係留刺激:基本文呈示群,変形文呈示群,統制群)X2(文型)の要因計画.手続き実験1に同じ.[結果]基本文呈示群においてのみ対比効果が得られた.[実験3]下接の条件の逸脱を母国語話者がどの程度重大だと判断しているのかについてのデータを求めた.target文の主節名詞句を元の位置に戻した文(文法的な文となる)と逸脱文を統制条件下で比較した.[方法]実験計画2(下接の条件の逸脱:有,無)X2(文型)の要因計画.手続きいずれの群の被験者とも3桁数字の加算課題を行いながら,target文の文法性の判断を行った.[結果]逸脱文の文法生の判断レベルは言語学が予測するほど低くはなかった.[結論]以上より,下接の条件を逸脱した文にも対比効果が部分的には生じることを確認した.(本研究の結果をまとめた論文(21ページ)は現在審査中である.)
