a) Cytodifferentiation of prostatic cancer cells (Dunning prostatic adenocarcinoma) via cell to cell interaction by various fetal or neonatal mesenchymeThe neonatal rat mesenchymes (uterine and vagina) or fetal rat mesenchymes (esophagus, stomach, small intestine), or urogenital sinus mesenchymes (UGM) of fetal testicular feminization mouse were recombined with R3327 Dunning prostatic adenocarcinoma (DT). The resultant tissue recombinations were grafted under the renal capsule of male athymic mouse for 1 month. In this examination, we could observed the cytodifferentiation of the parental DT composed of small ducts lined by undifferentiated simple or multilayered squamous or cuboidal epithelial cells. Such tissue recombinations showed the enlarged ducts which were lined by low columnar epithelial cells. However, tissue recombination of rat-UGM and DT exhibited the enlarged ducts lined by tall columnar epithelial cells.
