项目摘要

大学での一般(普遍)教育における遠隔地教育の教育手法を検討するため、テレビ会議システムを用いた講義方法と、イントラネット放送と電子メール応答を用いた2通りの講義を行い、両者の比較検討を行った。本実験には、大学内LANを用いたが、インターネットを用いた学生の予習復習のためにウェッブページ内にビデオプラグインを準備し、講義自体もウェッブ化した。実験経緯は以下の通りである。前半期に松元がテスト的にテレビ会議システムを利用し、その成果を基に後期に宮路がテレビ会議システムを主に用いた遠隔授業クラスと、比較クラスの2講義を行い、後半にアンケート調査を実施して比較検討を行った。テレビ会議システムを利用したクラスでは2回にわたって、イントラネット放送の講義も行い、講義手法の比較調査も行った。以上の結果、テレビ会議システムでは操作が複雑なため、遠隔地においての人的資源が必要であること。ウェッブ放送では、電子メールでの応答が学生の発言意欲をそぐことなどが確認できた。また、比較クラスでは電子メールデバイスとして携帯電話を好む学生が3割程度いたが、実際に講義の応答に用いた遠隔授業クラスでは2割弱に減少した。これは現在の携帯電話のかな漢字変換、字数制限などのため、実際に作業するにあたってノートPCを好む学生が増えたためである。しかし、今後携帯電話の様な携帯端末の進歩・普及により、応答部分を携帯端末に依存したテレビ会議とイントラ・インターネット放送を融合した形での遠隔授業方法が発達すると思われる。
