1 平成12年度においてトダ語の口語語彙集(約2,600語について、それぞれの発音と意味を記述し、さらにそれが1957年にM.B.エメノー博士が発表した記述と一致するか否かを註記してある)を公刊したので、平成13年度はそれ以外の語彙(主に歌謡や宗教儀礼で用いられるやや古風で特殊なもの)を調査収録し、民話10篇の収録記述も行った。この民話10篇の分析記述と発音は、モノグラフにCD-ROMを添付した形で公刊する。なお、口語語彙集には逆引き索引や英語訳索引も併記されている。2 ナハリ語に関しては、平成12年度に約400語の基本語彙と民話3篇が収録記述されたが複数の母語話者の面接調査の結果、被調査者によって発音や形式が多少異なることがわかったため、それが方言差によるものなのか、それとも個人差によるものなのかをはっきりさせるための調査を行った。その結果、方言差よりも個人差によるものであることがわかったが、調査する際に用いる媒介言語としてのヒンディー語に対する理解度の差によるものと思われる。3 今年度収録したトダ語の特殊語彙とナハリ語の基本語彙は、それぞれの動詞活用形と文法説明とを加え、平成14年中に公刊する。4 収録記述した語彙に関しては、トダ語の場合はドラビダ諸語と、ナハリ語の場合はアーリア諸語(特にヒンディー語とマハラーティー語)とオーストロ・アジア諸語(特にコルク語)と比較することによって、歴史的変化過程や系統的・類型的特徴を明らかにする。5 すべての収録語彙をデータベース化し、発音をCD-ROMの形で保存し、インターネットを通じて一般研究者に公開する。
