本研究プロジェクトは、安定した経済生活をおくることが一入ひとりの市民にとって重要なことがらであるにもかかわらず、現実の変動する経済の実態と、市民生活に必要な経済知識とのギャップは拡大する一方であるという認識のもとに、「かしこい市民」を育むための経済学教育を実施するためにはどうすればよいかを、経済学者の協力を得ながら、教育心理学的観点から明らかにすることを目指した。本研究は、単年度の計画であり、現実社会の経済活動に関する様々な信念・知識・技能の水準について調べ、そこに何が不足しているか、どういう教育が必要かについて明らかにし、今後のこの分野の研究の発展の礎を築くことを目的とした。研究代表者と研究分担者は、それぞれが得意なテーマについて、質問紙調査研究又は文献研究を実施し、その成果を基にした討議を通じて、相互補完的に共同研究を実施した。研究代表者と研究分担者の分担事項は、以下の通りである。子安増生:研究の総括/企業行動の論理性と非論理性西村和雄:監修/国民経済とグローバル経済楠見孝:経済活動におけるリスク認知とリスクテイキング行動菊池聡:詐欺商法とクリティカルシンキング藤村宣之:小学生の金融知識と消費行動これをもとに、メンバー全員に加えて、部外の研究助言者2名の参加を得て、平成13年12月に京都でシンポジウムを開催し、特に経済の実質指標と名目指標の違いの理解の問題など、研究内容を深めあった。
