1.資料の収集面における実績(1)前年度に収集した『絵本通俗三国志』などの翻訳の挿図を分析するために、同じ画家、刊行者が刊行した『新編水滸画伝』(新潟大学附属図書館蔵)『繍像水滸銘々伝』(八戸図書館蔵)、『絵本西遊全伝』(国文学研究資料館蔵)の挿図を中心に調査し、複製を作成した。(2)明治、大正、昭和に出版された『通俗三国志』『絵本通俗三国志』の十数点に及ぶ旧訳本、久保天随訳『新訳演義三国志』などの新訳本、伊藤銀月『三国志物語』などのリライト本、桃川燕林の講談『三国志』ほか多数を収集乃至調査した。2.資料の整理面における実績上記の収集した資料の整理をおこない、特に,日本で出た『三国志演義』の翻訳本の挿図に着目し、中国で明清時代から近代にかけて刊刻された挿図、江戸時代に出版されたいくつかの代表的な中国古典小説の翻訳の挿図と比較し、これらの挿図がどのように形成されていったのか、またそこに投影される日本人の『三国志演義』に対するイメージの変遷を明らかにした。あわせて、江戸時代に日本に輸入された『三国志演義』に関する記録、貸本屋の帳簿資料、文人たちの読書記録を調査し、さらには、明治から昭和までの間に日本で出版された『三国志演義』の翻訳、リライト本を可能な限り調査し、日本における『三国志演義』ブームの種々相について考察した。これらの研究成果は、「日本における『三国志演義』の受容」と題して、『金沢大学中国語学中国文学教室紀要』第8輯(2004年4月刊行予定)で発表される。同時に同論文の中国語訳を解説として、今回収集した『三国志演義』の翻訳関係の文献目録・解題、及び挿図の写真数百点と中国語による各図の解説をあわせて一つの著作とし、中国上海の出版社から刊行することになっている。

1. At the same time, the Chinese language interpretation of the same paper is published by Shanghai Publishing House of China.
