项目摘要

今年度は、平成14年度に実施した語レベルのヴォイス交替現象についての諸研究、ならびに、平成15年度に実施した動詞の語彙情報の一部としての意味記述において、被影響の関係概念をあらわす関数AFFECTED(できごとと、そのできごとから物理的、身体的、精神的な影響を被る個体の関係を個体の視点から規定する関数)が句レベル・文レベルで果たす役割についての研究の成果を踏まえ、これまでの研究成果の総括として、理論的な自然言語研究において形式的な語彙意味論研究が果たす役割と今後の展望についての考察をすすめた。具体的には、平成16年11月に日本英語学会にて開催予定のシンポジウム"On the Roles and Formal Properties of the Lexicon in Generative Grammar"において、語レベルでの態交替現象に統一的な分析を与える形式的な語彙意味論研究の実例を示しつつ、自然言語の理論的研究において語彙が果たす役割についての研究発表を行った。また、分析対象を動詞の態交替から、態交替現象と同一線上にあると思われる再帰、使役現象、視点のかかわる形容詞表現等に拡張し、形式的な語彙表示を展開する制約に基づく語彙研究の有効性を記述力、説明力両面から検証するための研究準備、文学作品等の実例分析に立脚した今後の語彙研究の可能性を探るための資料収集、研究打ち合わせ等を行ったほか、初学者向けのテキスト作成のための研究、準備をすすめた。なお、収集した資料が当初の予定以上に多岐に渡ったことと、語彙(意味)論における形式的アプローチに主眼を置いた入門書が必要とされている現状を鑑み、報告書作成は見合わせることとし、本研究の成果を活用した入門書の執筆準備を開始、現在鋭意執筆中である。
