京都大学人文科学研究所の前身である東方文化学院京都研究所は、1938年から1944年にかけて山西省大同市に所在する雲岡石窟とその周辺遺址の調査を実施した。その報告書は水野清一・長廣敏雄『雲岡石窟』全16巻32冊として公刊されたが、残念なことに、出土遺物についてはほとんど未整理・未報告のまま人文科学研究所に保管されてきた。そこで岡村秀典助教授の指導のもとに新石器時代・殷周時代・漢時代・北魏時代・遼時代の土器・陶磁器について整理を進めてきた。今の時点で半分あまりを完了し、来年度に継続して整理をおこなう予定である。今年度の所見では、雲岡石窟の出土品は北魏と遼代、新石器時代の遺物は大部分が雲岡石窟の対岸にある八蘇木地遺址の出土、漢代の遺物は大同市の平城遺址や応県東張寨遺址など当時の県城址からの出土である。とくに新石器時代の土器や陶環(土製腕輪?)の数は多く、不明な点の多い当該地域の仰韶文化後期から龍山文化を解明する上で重要な資料と考えられる。この整理作業に関連して、11月下旬から12月上旬に山西省とそれに隣接する陝西・内蒙古・北京の遺址を踏査した。とりわけ本資料の出土した大同市周辺の各遺址は、新中国において遺址として関係機関にほとんど認知されず、十分な保護措置がとられていないことから、早急に現状を把握する必要があり、来年度も継続して現地を調査する予定である。本研究における成果の一部は11月に名古屋の南山大学で開催された日本中国考古学会第14回大会において「二里頭時代の中原東部地区-土器動態からみた地域間関係とその背景」と題する発表をおこなった。それは来年度刊行の学会誌『中国考古学』第4号に掲載する予定である。

The late Yangshao culture in the area is the important information of the Ryusan culture, and the explanation is clear. The finishing work is related to the site in late November and early December in Shanxi Province, which is adjacent to the sites in Shaanxi, Inner Mongolia, and Beijing. This information was unearthed from various sites around Datong City, the sites of the New China, the relevant institutions, the awareness of the site, and the ten points. Protective measures are in place, emergency measures are in place and the current situation is under control, and necessary measures are in place, and on-site inspections and on-site inspections for the coming year are scheduled to be carried out.
