项目摘要

本研究は、対人関係における排他性が個人の精神的適応に及ぼす影響を明らかにするものである。昨年度までの検討では、次のことが明らかとなっていた。人は配偶者や恋人との関係に対して特別視しやすく、排他的に外部からのサポート取得を自ら抑制する。そのため、特別視した関係での葛藤に対処できず、その結果、特別視した相手からの暴力被害を受けやすくなり精神的な適応が阻害される。すなわち、排他性は個人の適応に否定的な影響をもたらす条件となることが明らかとされていた。今年度は、上述した排他性の否定的な影響を緩和する条件について検討を行った。その結果、社会人を対象とした調査と、分析ソフトを駆使した解析結果から、次のことが明らかとなった。第一は、相手からの暴力被害を受けにくくするためには、相手の出方に応じて、協調的行動と非協調的行動のいずれもとることが有効だということである。相手が協調的ならば自身も協調的に、相手が非協調的ならば自身も非協調的に振るまうことが、結果として相手からの暴力被害を受けにくくするために不可欠であることが示されたのである。そして、第二に、親密な関係を特別視したとしても、その外部に利用可能なサポートが得られる状況であれば、協調的な行動と非協調的な行動のいずれもとることができる。さらに、その傾向は、外部の利用可能なサポートがあくまでも受け手だけの立場を支持するものであると認識される場合に、顕著となることも示された。これらの研究成果は、2004年8月に開催された国際心理学会議(於:北京)や、同年5月の日本グループ・ダイナミックス学会大会(於:南山大学)、同年7月の日本社会心理学会大会(於:北星学園大学)、および同年9月の日本心理学会大会(於:関西大学)において発表された。
