We discussed to construct analytical framework for describing and explaining of urban underclass.Urban underclass in Japan are excluded from citizenship, recruited to the underclass labor market, and exposed to pressures leading to homelessness. It's the mode of existence of the urban underclass. Through our research into homeless people, We found that homeless people find the survival strategies and construct self identity against the social exclusion.Furthermore, we research on female worker at hot spring hotels and make clear their instable life. They are included to urban underclass. However, Urban Underclass in Japan are divided by gender, age or ethnicity, are isolated to the world where it differs respectively.

本文探讨了构建描述和解释城市下层阶级的分析框架。在日本，城市下层阶级被排除在公民身份之外，被招募到下层劳动力市场，并面临导致无家可归的压力。这是城市下层阶级的生存方式。通过对无家可归者的研究，我们发现无家可归者在面对社会排斥的情况下寻找生存策略，构建自我认同。在此基础上，对温泉宾馆女职工进行了调查，明确了她们的不稳定生活。他们被列入城市下层阶级。然而，日本的城市下层阶级是按性别、年龄或种族划分的，被孤立在各自不同的世界中。
