1.本年度の研究の概要本年度は本科研費研究の最終年度にあたり、平成15/16年度に実施した調査と文献研究を総合的にまとめ、論文として成果を示す年度であった。そのため、春から秋にかけては主としてこれまで解読・調査してきた補償教育制度に関する研究成果を整理し、まとめた。さらに冬以降は平成18年春実施の補足的調査の準備を行い、本研究がインドの教育制度原理のみならず、インドの人間開発全般に関わる重要な課題であることを示した。2.研究成果のまとめと公表本研究の成果を学位請求論文としてまとめるため、以下のような内容につき調査結果と文献研究の総合を行った。第一に、補償教育制度の制度的発展を確かめる中で、それが教育制度の原理や理念からではなく、現実の政治的状況から生成されていく過程を明らかにした。第二に、独立後と現在のダリットを対象とする補償教育制度を発展史・運用・実態の三側面から複眼的に考察することにより、人間と教育機会の保障を立体的にとらえていく必要について説明した。第三に、補償教育制度研究の理論と課題について、財の再配分のための補償教育ではなく、A.センの言うケイパビリティの平等とは何か検討し、それが現実の教育制度としてどのように実現できるのか考察を行った。本研究に関し具体的に単発論文としてまとめ、公表されたのは、「『人間の安全保障』の議論と日本の教育改革」(日本教育制度学会編『教育改革への改革提言集』第四集、2005年所収)のみだが、現在、日本比較教育学会に「インドにおけるダリットの不就学・ドロップアウト要因に関する一考察」、日本教育制度学会に「インド・カルナータカ州におけるダリットを対象とする補償教育制度の発展史」という二論文を投稿中である。3.補足的調査の実施昨年度までの調査および今年度の文献研究で明らかにできなかった諸点に関して、現地調査を実施した。ダリット解放運動家およびダリット学校運営者・教師およびダリット児童・学生に直接面接をして、聞き取り調査を実施した。
