前年度に引き続き,小学校・算数「数と計算」領域の学習内容について,数センス育成の観点から内容の系統を概観し,検討した。特に焦点化した内容は,暗算および見積もりである。また同時に,各学習内容で扱われている教材や問題についても吟味した。これまでに,アメリカの教科書やワークブックに関しても,扱われている教材や問題を収集してきている。教材などの収集,およびそれらに関する考察は,今後引き続き行っていく予定である。数センスの育成に対する有効性の観点から,それらの教材の吟味を実施したいと考える。また,小学生を対象とした算数授業を計画・実施し,データ収集を行った。主たる授業のねらいは,数や図形,式を含む柔軟な思考力の育成である。思考の柔軟性は数センスと密接に関連するものである。授業計画に際し,国内外のさまざまな調査問題,および算数・数学に関わるコンテストや検定の問題の収集,検討を行った。それらの問題解決の様相を検討することは,数センスの概念構造を議論する際に有効であると考えられる。授業で収集したデータの分析には質的分析を試み,その方法と結果について検討した。さらに,これまでに収集してきているデータから,子どもの10の理解に関して結果分析を実施した。10のまとまりの理解は,数概念の発達に対して非常に重要なものである。これまでに考察してきている言語構造との関連に加え,10の理解の発達の観点から,データの分析を試みた。ここでの考察から得られた知見をもとに,今後,数センスの概念構造の検討を実施する予定である。
