项目摘要

本年度は、イベリア半島のロマンス語における強勢と形態音韻現象との相互作用に関して、カタロニア語語末子音削除と接語付加との相互作用、及びガリシア語の複数形形成について最適性理論に基づく研究を行い、次のような成果を得ることができた。1)カタロニア語に見られる語末のr-削除に関して、この語末子音削除過程が複数形形成と接語付加という二種類の形態統語過程との相互作用において異なる振る舞いを示すという現象を考察した。具体的には、語幹末のr音は、それが複数形接尾辞に後続される場合は削除されるが、接語に後続される場合は削除されない。本研究では、この現象が生じる環境の形態統語的な相違に着目し、語末子音削除の有無が語幹と後続する形態素との間の形態統語的な境界の違いに起因することを示し、この境界の違いが最適性理論では形態統語境界に相対化されたContiguity制約の働きによって説明されることを論じた。2)ガリシア語の複数形接尾辞は語幹の強勢位置によって3つの異形態を示す。本研究では、[1]で終わる単語の複数形形成に焦点を当て、ガリシア語の複数形接尾辞の異形態は最適性理論においては無標の創出(The emergence of the unmarked)の結果として説明されることを示した。具体的には、ガリシア語の複数形では、不均衡な強弱韻脚や最小語に満たない語のような有標な韻律構造が許されず、複数形接尾辞の異形態の分布は有標な韻律構造をできる限り避けるという原理によって説明されることを論じた。また、上記の理論的な分析と平行し、昨年度より継続して行っているスペイン語指小語形成における二重母音/単母音交替の不透明性の研究に関連して、不透明な二重母音の表出と指小語の韻律構造との関係に関する予備的な調査を行った。
