本研究は看護基礎教育における災害看護の教授方法を構築することを最終目的とするもので、今回は災害における異なるリスク状況における看護師のリスク回避行動とその要因を明らかにし、効果的な災害教育を探ることを目指している。調査対象者である看護師で、異なるリスク状況には職業上日常的にリスクを冒す可能性のある「与薬事故」、一般人として日常的にリスクを冒す可能性のある「交通事故」と、防災行動として「職場災害」、日常生活における「地震災害」の4つを想定した。調査を依頼した施設は災害基幹病院で、東海・東南海・南海地震の可能性が高いと想定された地域の施設と大地震の可能性が高いと想定されていない地域にある病院の中から選出した。そして調査の許可を貰った協力病院(17施設)に郵送法によって質問紙調査をおこない、有効回答数475(59%)を得た。質問紙は「地震災害」、「交通事故」、「与薬事故」、「職場災害」といった4つのリスク状況におけるリスク回避行動とそれに関わる要因に関する質問項目から成るものであった。リスク回避行動に関わる要因については先行研究などを参考に導き出したもので、「リスク認知」、「ベネフィット認知」、「コスト認知」、「情報収集度」、「日常的な関心」、「責任感」、「不安」、「信念」、「対処の自信」、「経験」、「知識」、の11項目であった。「地震災害」に対する防災行動が高い群と低い群を比較したところ、リスク認知、コスト認知、情報収集度、日常的な関心、自信、不安の要因で有意差が認められた。「交通事故」ではコスト認知、・情報収集度日常的な関心、責任感、不安の要因で有意差が認められた。「与薬事故」では情報収集度、不安の要因で有意差が認められた。「職場災害」ではリスク認知、ベネフィット認知、コスト認知、情報収集度、不安、自信の要因で有意差が認められた。これより異なるリスク状況においてリスク回避行動に関わる要因が違う可能性が推測された。
