项目摘要

理論言語学において人間言語は、音韻・意味・統語の異なる情報から成ると仮定されている。また神経言語学では、言葉を理解しているときに脳内で生じる意味処理と統語処理それぞれについて脳内指標(事象関連電位;ERP)が確立されている。しかし、音韻処理に関してはその脳内指標が未確立であった。音韻処埋の脳内指標を明らかにしようとした先行のERP実験(koso, et. al., 2007)では、そのERP成分が前頭の陰性成分であることが示唆された。本ERP研究はこの実験結果の再現性を機械的な合成音声を用いて確認することを目的としていた。実験条件は、音韻的な違反のある文とそうでない文から構成された音韻条件と意味的な違反のある文とそうでない文から構成された意味条件の2条件であった。実験には標準語を話す、右利きの健常大学生22名が参加した。被験者は、防音・防磁加工がされている部屋の中でコンピュータの前に座り、スピーカから流れる324の日本語文に対して、スクリーンに呈示される単語がスピーカから聞こえてきた文に含まれていたか否かを、反応ボックスを用いて判断した。被験者が、課題を遂行している間に脳波は継続的にコンピュータに記録し、実験終了後に分析した。その結果、音韻条件の逸脱文と正しい文のERPを比べたところ、逸脱文に対して前頭に優位な陰性成分が観察された。意味条件の逸脱文と正しい文のERPを比べたところ、逸脱文に対して頭部全体におよぶ陰性波と後頭に後期の陽性成分が観察された。音韻条件で得られたERP成分は、先行の実験結果と一致しており、音韻的な逸脱のある文に対して、神経生理学的な反応が得られることが再現された。また、前頭の陰性成分が音韻処理を反映した神経生理学的指標であるという主張を指示する結果であった。今後は、音韻・意味・統語処理が互いにどのように関連し合うのかを解明する研究が期待される。

Theory of Speech: Speech, Phoneme, Meaning, Language and Information In psycholinguistics, internal indicators (event-related potentials;ERP) are established in the process of meaning processing and language processing.
