项目摘要

本研究の目的は低流動性環境下における市場制度の比較分析を行う事にある。私は、自分の在庫量だけに依存して気配値を提示する簡易マーケット・メーカーのモデルを提案し、人工先物市場U-Martシステムを使って、市場に与えた流動性とマーケット・メーカー自身が得られる利益を調べた。マーケット・メーカーがいる事によって、約定率が大幅に増大することが確認できた。しかし、このマーケットが機能するためにはマーケット・メーカーが適切な利益を安定的に得られる必要がある。価格変動がランダムウォークであった場合、そのモデルはきわめて安定的に利益が得られる事がわかった。しかしながら、時系列をGARCHモデルで与えた場合は極端に大きな損害を被ることがあり、このモデルに基づくマーケット・メーカーは事業として成立しない事がわかった。これらの成果は、進化経済学会およびWCSSで報告した。また、同時にU-Martシステムの拡張を試みた。これまで、シミュレーション研究の分野ではモデルは「ばかばかしいほどに単純にせよ」というKISS原理(Keep it simple and stupid)に基づいて提案されてきた。それに対し証券市場の制度を正確に評価し、制度設計に資する成果を得るには、むしろ詳細な部分まで「忠実」に再現したモデルが必要であると考えた。その上で、科学的な厳密さを担保するために再現性と追跡性が確保されていなければならない事、更にモデルから得られた結果の妥当性を試験するため、同じ条件で人間による実験が可能である事が必要であると考えた。進化経済学論集第11集で発表した論文で、市場制度の研究を行うためには「忠実性」、「再現性」、「追跡性」、「透過性」という4つの条件を備えたモデルが必要である事を示した。その上で、これらの条件を備えるモデルの実例として東京証券取引所の制度を忠実に再現させたザラバ版U-Martシステムと、JASDAQ市場のマーケットメーク銘柄の制度を忠実に再現したマーケットメーク版U-Martシステムを開発した。U-Martシステムは、これまでに「再現性」、「追跡性」、「透過性」を満たすモデルとして開発が続けられており、このバージョンで「忠実性」も付け加えられたため、本格的な研究が可能な環境が整えられたと言ってよい。このモデルの有効性を確かめるため、我々は更新値幅を変更したときの価格変動への影響を調べた。その結果、価格変動率が大幅に異なる事がわかった。これまでの価格の時系列分析などでは、為替市場と株式市場の違いなどには言及されていたが、制度の違いによる影響などはあまり考慮されてこなかった。このような条件を備えたモデルを提案することで、より精緻な議論が可能になったと考えられる。
