本研究の目的は,近年急速に進みつつある製品設計や生産工程のモジュール化現象を,質問票調査やヒアリング等を実施することによって定量的に把握し,モジュール生産下における企業間情報ネットワーク形成の役割について明らかにすることにある。本研究の最終年度となる今年度は,以前われわれが実施した質問票調査データ(2001年8月実施,有効回答率26.8%)の統計解析を進めるとともに,モジュール化の進行と企業間関係のオープン化に関する理論的な考察を深めた。企業間関係のオープン化は,1)従来取引のなかった業者との取引の開始あるいは潜在的な取引の機会をあたえるオープン化,つまり取引先の開放や拡大・多様化と,2)企業間インターフェイスのオープン化,つまり標準的な取引フォーマットや取引手順の採用,その基盤としてのEDIシステムの標準化という二つの側面を有している。本研究の結果,モジュール化に積極的な企業ほどインターネットEDI実施への取り組みが顕著であり,また,モジュール生産の実施拡大にともなって,より詳細な仕様情報や設計図面等が企業間で交換・共有されるという関係の存在が明らかとなった。さらに,モジュール化に積極的な企業ほど企業間での情報共有に関して具体的な契約や取り決めを交わす傾向が有意に多かった。したがって,モジュール化の進行によって具体的な契約や協定の締結による企業間連係の定式化が今後進んでいく可能性を見出すことができる。ただし,取引される商材の特性やアーキテクチャの相違,取引方式の違い,あるいはレガシーシステムの制約などによって,企業間情報ネットワークの適合性は異なることが予想される。企業間関係のオープン化と長期的・継続的な取引との間に存在する関係性の分析については,そこに果たす情報ネットワークの役割も含め,今後の研究課題である。

The purpose of this study is to rapidly improve the quality of product design and production engineering in recent years, and to investigate the quantitative control of product design and production engineering. This year, the final year of this study, the statistical analysis of the questionnaire survey (conducted in August 2001, with a response rate of 26.8%) has been improved.
