项目摘要

We developed a high efficiency support system for the functional recovery training of a hemiplegic upper limb. The support system (the method of reduced error display)has the following functions; Firstly the system works to lighten the burdens to the patient by means of reduced display of the error against the reference trajectory. Secondly, the system works to change the error display to be real gradually according to the functional recovery of the hemiplegic upper limb. The clinical trial of the system was executed at the rehabilitation center of our university hospital, and the following results were obtained.1)The proposed system was effective to train hemiplegic upper limbs.2)A significant difference was not admitted between the clinical benefits from the proposed method and the conventional method.3)As a result of the questionnaire to the patients, the evaluation of the proposed method was higher than that of the conventional method.We also developed a force display device that used an electromagnet Since the device can display non-contact safe forces, it is expected to be effective in the functional recovery training of a hemiplegic upper limb. This device was admitted an invention in Kagoshima University, then we applied for a patent (Patent Application Number 2007-326502).
