ストーマ保有者(オストメイト)の性的問題や医療現場における性の相談の実態を把握する目的で、以下の3点を実施した。(1)女性性機能尺度(Female Sexual Function Index : FSFI)日本語版の作成。(2)ET/WOCナース対象の質問紙調査。看護師の約6割が、主に男性患者から性について種々の相談を受けていたが、女性患者や配偶者からの相談が少なかった。(3)ストーマケアを担当する医師対象の質問紙調査。医師の半数強が性相談を受けていた。術前説明では、患者属性や臨床的条件によって性的問題の説明行動が変化していた。
