Cancer survivorship : creating a better support system in local communities, workplaces, and schools

这项研究的目的是揭示癌症幸存者在当地社区，工作场所和学校面临的社会问题。我们对1）一般公众对癌症预后和发病率的看法，2）学校教师对父母患有癌症的儿童的支持的看法，以及3）患有儿童癌症的儿童的母亲经历的工作相关问题进行了调查。根据研究结果，我们讨论了可以为日本癌症幸存者提供有效和可持续的支持系统的措施。

The purpose of this research was to reveal social problems that cancer survivors confront in local communities, workplaces, and schools. We conducted surveys regarding 1) the general public's perception of cancer prognosis and incidence, 2) school teachers' perception of support for children whose parents have cancer, and 3) work-related issues experienced by mothers of children with pediatric cancers. Based on the results, we discussed measures that could achieve an effective and sustainable support system for cancer survivors in Japan.
