本態性高血圧群,腎性高血圧群,正常コントロール群、計29名の撮影したMRI画像を視覚的に検討したところ、ボランティア7名中2名に、視覚評価では接触ありと判定される所見が認められた。本態性高血圧患者群では2名、二次性高血圧患者群では1名に接触ありと判定される所見が認められた。脳血管が下位脳神経に接触する所見は、高血圧の無い健常ボランティアでも見られうる所見であり、単純な視覚評価は神経血管圧迫が高血圧の原因となっている患者を検出する手段としては信頼性が低い。神経血管圧迫ありと判定する基準を再検討する必要がある。
