脳性まひ(CP)者において下顎臼歯部の欠損部に対し,下顎義歯を装着した場合の下顎位感覚の相違を下顎位感覚弁別能テストにより比較検討した。よって,義歯の装着によりCP者固有の持続的な筋トーヌスの亢進や下顎に付着する筋の筋紡錘を支配するγ-運動神経の過度な興奮による過緊張が抑制されたため,CP者の下顎位感覚の弁別能力が向上したものと推察できる。
