项目摘要

本研究は、メコン河下流域(現ベトナム南部・カンボジア南部)において、東南アジアの初期国家である扶南国の成立および各地域の統合化プロセスを、考古学的資料をもとに、文化伝統や製作技法の変容・文化交流の発展等の考察から明らかにするものである。特に交易の結節点であるオケオ港市遺跡を中心に、メコンデルタの各水系の流域に分布する遺跡間の交流ネットワークを検証するため、本年度の調査においては、交流を示す指標的遺物であるガラス・瓦・土器(壷(土鍋)・注口付き壷)を重視し、資料調査・踏査を行い、出土遺跡の分布・出土状況をふまえ、集積されたデータを総合的に整理・分析する作業を行った。第一に、資料調査として、(1)ガラス:製作技法調査のためインド(ウッタラプラデーシュ・アーンドラプラデーシュ州等)のガラス作り村にて民族考古学的調査や出土ガラスの確認調査を行った。またメコンデルタにおいては、ゴーハン・オケオ遺跡等からの出土したガラスの実体顕微鏡による製作痕・便用痕観察を行い、遺跡間の関係性・生産址の存在を具体的に検証し、またサンプルの化学分析にて理化学的データによる裏付けを行った。(2)瓦:オケオ出土品と類似する瓦の確認調査を、インド・ネパールにて行った。(3)土器:まずべトナム南部出土品の資料調査(ロンアン省・キエンザン省博物館等)を行い、次に各地域の製作技法の詳細な観察と特徴・変容等を考察するため、ベトナム北部(ソンラー省)・中部(ビントゥアン省)・南部(アンザン・キエンザン省)の伝統的土器作り村にて民族考古学的調査を行った。そして各地域の異なる成形・焼成・流通形態が存在する事を、より具体的に明らかにした。第二に、遺跡踏査として、上記の瓦やガラス等の遺物が出土するデルタ西部低湿地帯の二水系(バサック河・バンコータイ川流域)に位置する遺跡の踏査を行った。そして考古資料データと比較対照しながら、各水糸に分布する遺跡の分布状況・変遷を埋解するために必要なデータを多く把握することが出来た。これらの成果の一部については、国内外での学会における研究発表、ポスター発表および学術雑誌にて公表し、広く意見を求めた。特にベトナムでは、第二回ベトナム学国際会議にて、各国研究者と討論を行い、多くの情報・意見交換を行うことができた。
