元気高齢者に園芸療法を適用した包括的地域ケアモデルの構築と場の創造

项目摘要

本年度の研究では、06,07年度の研究成果を基にITを活用した園芸療法の効果の詳細を検証した後、総合的見地から、ITの活用による園芸療法を適用した包括的地域ケアモデルを構築する予定であったが、当初の計画の変更を余儀なくされたため、下記の内容で研究を進めた。1)これまでに得られた園芸療法の研究データの分析を行い、園芸療法の知見を広く社会に還元すべく、論文作成及び投稿準備に充当した。現在、Japan journal of Nursing Scienceに「Effects of Horticultural Therapy for Aged Persons Receiving Home Care」を、また、老年社会科学に「サッケード反応様式からみた園芸療法の元気高齢者の前頭葉脳血流量の変化」を投稿するための準備作業に入っている。これらの論文では、在宅療養高齢者及び元気高齢者のそれぞれの課題に対して園芸療法が効果的に作用して、心身機能の維持・向上や老化予防に独自の効果をもたらすことが実証され、今後における地域高齢者ケアへの提言ともなっている。2)世界初の作業療法ハンドブック、「International Handbook of Occupational Therapy Interventions」(2009)に、「Horticultural Therapy for the Cognitive Function of Elderly People with Dementia」が所収された。このことにより、園芸療法が薬物に依拠することなく認知機能の回復をもたらし、認知症ケアとしての優れた側面を有すると共に、日常生活の活性化を促すための多種多様な可能性持ち合わせていることを世界のケア専門家に紹介し、園芸療法の普及に拍車をかける機会となった。なお、認知症者に対する園芸療法の種々のデータについては、引き続き分析を進め、International journal of geriatric Psychiatryをはじめ国際的学術誌への投稿を予定している。
