昨年度より取り組んでいる将来の生産性に関するニュースと景気循環の関係についての研究を継続して行った。まず、"Internal and external habits and news-driven business cycles"を発表した。消費の習慣形成は、自分自身の過去の消費によって習慣が形成されるinternal habitと世の中の平均消費によって、習慣が形成されるexternal habitがあり、これら二つの差は、従来の景気循環モデルではほとんどないとされてきていた。しかし、同論文では、将来の生産性に関するニュースに対ける経済の反応を考える上では、非常に重要な違いがあることを指摘した。また、昨年度初稿をあげた"Nominal rigidities,news-driven business cycles and monetary policy"について、日本経済学会2008年度春季大会、The 2008 Far Eastern Meeting of the Econometric Society、Winter Institute Macroeconomics 2009、東北大学をけじめとする国内外の学会・セミナー・カンファレンスで発表を行った。同論文は、討論者や学会参加者のコメントを参考に改訂作業を行った。さらに、同じく昨年度初稿をあげた"On equivalence results in business cycle accounting"は、日本経済学会2008年度秋季大会、横浜国立大学などの学会・セミナーで報告を行った。また同論文は、討論者や学会参加者や投稿先のレフェリーのコメントをもとに、大幅な改訂作業を行った。
