我々は生体膜の示す様々な膜変形現象を、多成分ベシクルを用いたモデルを通して研究した。様々な形状を持つベシクルで相分離を起こすことにより、ベシクルが内側に分裂したり、外側に分裂したりする現象、球状のベシクルが数珠状に繋がる現象等、相分離するベシクルに特徴的な変形を示す事がわかった。さらに、脂質分子の自発曲率と相分離を結合させることにより接着や孔形成などの機能性膜変形も再現できる事がわかった。
