高濃度Erを構成元素とするEr_2SiO_5結晶の作製プロセスを開発した。Er_2SiO_5光導波路を設計作製し,1480nm光の導波特性を評価し,高濃度Erによるグリーンのアップコンバーション発光を観測した。Er_xY_<2-x>SiO_5膜を作製し,x=~0.1で1.54μm発光強度がEr_2SiO_5の数倍から数十倍になることを見出した。シミュレーションによると~1mm長のEr_<0.1>Y_<1.9>SiO_5光導波路で10dBの利得が可能である。
