がん化学療法に伴うリスクの中でも特に危険な、血液毒性による免疫力の低下とそれに伴う日和見感染症の発症、を予測する方法論の構築を目指して検討を行った。具体的には、免疫系で中心的な役割を果たすCD4+T 細胞に対して、抗がん剤感受性を評価する手法の確立を行い、得られた抗がん剤感受性のデータを基に、生体内でのCD4+T細胞減少プロファイルを予測できる、数学的モデルの構築・検証を行った。がん化学療法に伴うリスクをより正確に予測し、最適な薬物療法の構築に寄与すると考えられる。
