アジア地域内連携教育交流を目指した実質的プログラムを立ち上げるために必要となる情報として、中国、韓国、東南アジア諸国を中心に、アジア地域における教育ネットワークの現状と課題を調査した。その結果、今後日本が国際共同学位制度を推進する上で重要な要素として、(1)金銭面でのサポート、(2)言語的柔軟性(英語コースを増やす)、(3)情報発信力強化、(4)魅力あるコースの開発、(5)学位取得後の就職支援、(6)日本国内の教員側の熱意などが指摘された。
