平成19年度と20年度の二度にわたってイランのテヘラン市内の大学と図書館において、天文学・占星術・数学の写本を調査し、基本的な目録の他、貴重なアラビア語写本のコピーをCDで入手し、そのカタログを準備した。またテヘラン大学に最近できた科学史研究所を2度にわたって訪問し、若手研究者の研究状況を把握し、情報を交換した。若手研究者の何人かとはe-mailによって連絡をとりあい、今後の共同研究を行う態勢が整った。
