本研究では,4成分(表面,2回反射,体積,ヘリックス)散乱モデル分解手法をALOS PALSARデータに適用し,地表面の分類を行った。表面散乱を青色,2回反射成分を赤色,体積散乱成分を緑色に割り当て,それらをカラー合成することによって,視覚的に理解できるよう工夫した.その結果,海や火山の火口近くは青色に表示されること,人工物体は赤色が卓越すること,植生は緑色となり実際の状況をかなり正確に反映できるようになった。
