本研究では、伝統都市の祭礼空間(巡行路・祭礼拠点の構成など)が、都市空間の形成・改変に対して、どのような変容過程をたどったかを文献史資料と現状の祭礼調査によって解明するものである。主な調査研究対象として取り上げた江戸・東京の神田祭、福岡の博多祇園山笠では、とくに近代・現代都市化過程において、伝統的な祭礼空間が、断絶的な都市空間の改変を修復しながら連続的に変化することで、地域社会の歴史性の継承や地域コミュニティの持続・形成に重要な役割を果たしたことが明らかとなった。

In this study, the ritual space for ritual ceremonies in the city (the sacrificial sites on the patrol road are closed), the urban space is formed, and the information on the history of literature and literature is available. The main research project is based on the Shanda festival in Beijing, Fukushima, the modern urbanization process in modern times, the traditional ritual space, the cut-off urban space, the renovation of urban space, the modification of urban space, and the connection of modern urbanization. The historical nature of the regional society inherits the importance of the formation of the important service, the results of the cutting, the understanding and the development of the regional society.
