多機能因子であるヒトCCNファミリー蛋白質のうち代表的な3 種の蛋白質(CCN1~CCN3)の高次構造の解明のため,CCN蛋白質発現リコンビナントバキュロウィルスが構築され,CCN蛋白質の大量発現・結晶化へと進んだ.また,関節リウマチにおけるCCN蛋白質の機能解析を試み,CCN 蛋白質が関節リウマチ滑膜細胞で発現亢進しており,滑膜細胞活性化・異常増殖機構に関与する可能性が示唆された.
