c-mybは血液細胞の増殖だけでなく分化にも影響する転写因子である。そこで、本研究では、その発現をモニターし分化への影響を詳細に検討する為に遺伝子改変マウスの樹立を試みた。最初の方法論ではc-mybモニターES細胞は完成しなかった。しかし、技術的改良により、目的のES細胞は樹立でき、現在このES細胞を用いた遺伝子改変マウスの作成を始めている。この結果は、世界初のc-mybモニターマウス誕生へと繋がり、このマウスを用いての血液細胞分化研究へ貢献出来ると考える。
