近年、未熟児を含め種々の新生児疾患の急性期に好中球性炎症の関与が注目されている。そこで、N-acetyl Proline-Glycine-Proline(acPGP)という3 つのアミノ酸より構成される蛋白質が新たな好中球遊走因子であることに着目し研究を開始した。2007年度は神戸薬科大学と共同で、液体クロマトグラフィータンデムマス質量分析装置(Liquid chromatography coupled tandem mass spectrometry:LC-MS/MS)を用いたacPGP の測定系の確立に成功した。2008 年度は成人や新生児・未熟児の血清から世界で初めてacPGP の同定に成功し、論文や学会にて報告した。

In recent years, the relationship between acute stage of neonatal diseases including immature children and global inflammation has been noticed. N-acetyl Proline-Glycine-Proline(acPGP) is a new protein that can be used as a precursor to protein synthesis.
