TNFファミリーのサイトカインであるTWEAKの受容体Fn14の遺伝子レベルでの発現調節に関する研究を行った。Fn14の設計図である遺伝子配列の発現を調節する因子、つまり転写因子は多岐にわたっていることが示唆され、それらの転写因子もしくは発現調節に重要な遺伝子配列を制御することによりTWEAKサイトカインによる生体反応の調節が可能になるものと考えられた。
