先ず、韓国人の歯列弓の三次元計測から仮想歯列モデルの構築法を確立した。その仮想歯列弓の解析から第一大臼歯の解剖学的特徴と歯列弓の計測項目との関連性を明らかにし、喪失した第一大臼歯の三次元的形態予測が可能な回帰式を導くことができた。つづいて日本人と韓国人の歯および歯列弓形態の三次元解析を行い、異なる背景を持つ集団における歯および歯列弓形態の違いを明らかにすることができた。具体的には、韓国人と比較して日本人における歯列弓幅径が有意に小さいことが明らかとなった。また個々の歯の三次元形態の計測値データの蓄積も日本人と韓国人の二つの集団で行うことができた。
