本研究は、戦前中等教育レベルの小学校教員養成機関であった師範学校が1943 年に、官立の専門学校程度(高等教育レベル)に昇格した際の具体的なプロセスの解明を目的とした研究である。その目的に向け、国立公文書館で発見した、専門学校程度昇格の過程で教員採用の手続きに使われた人事資料を収集しデータベース化した。そして、それを分析し、昇格過程の教員人事に関する一定の基準を解明することができた。
