最終年度においては、これまで日中関係の悪化等により実施が遅れていた中国における現地調査を敢行した。現地に詳しい中国人研究協力者も同行し、その支援を得ていくつかの図書館、档案館を調査した。これらの図書館では所蔵リストに研究テーマに関する原資料が存在することを確認できたが、研究代表者が日本人であるため閲覧を許可されず、十分な調査を行うことができなかった。これを補う手段として、前年度までに日本、韓国、米国等で収集した資料の整理や解読作業に力を注ぎ、研究成果のまとめを今年度の後半に行うスケジュールで作業を進めたが、研究代表者がやむを得ない事情で退職することとなったため、当該年度中に研究成果の出版は達成できなかった。しかし、これまでの資料解読の結果、以下の点を明らかにすることができた。満洲における朝鮮人伝道の展開は、日本の満洲国の経営方針の枠組みに沿うものとして当局からも一定の理解を得ていた。多民族帝国を標榜する満洲国にとって宗教の多元性は自明のものとして尊重され、朝鮮人が独自のキリスト教団を作ることも問題視されなかった。また、満洲国への日本人移民を増やすために日本帝国は内地のキリスト教や天理教の信徒集団をまとまった形で移民村を作ることを認め便宜を図っており、賀川豊彦のような日本のクリスチャン指導者と満州国政府内のクリスチャン官吏（星野直樹や武藤富男など）が呼応する形で満洲国へのクリスチャン移民の促進や満洲国内でのキリスト教布教を積極的に支援していた。こうした文脈の中で朝鮮人教会は朝鮮半島内の教会とは独自の教会組織を立ち上げ独自の神学校まで建設することが許可されていた。今後はさらに蓄積された情報や資料の解読を進め、個人の研究プロジェクトとして研究成果を書籍にまとめ成果を社会に還元することを目指したい。
