本研究では、交渉の最中に他人の意見に影響を与えることを目的として、仮想キャラクターのエモーションゲームに焦点を当てています。実際のところ、交渉の場では他人を納得させるために感情を表出させることがあります。したがって、仮想キャラクターの説得力を向上させるために感情表出を利用することも可能だと思われます。そこで私たちは、交渉における仮想キャラクターの説得力を向上させるために、人文・社会科学の理論に基づいた戦略的な感情表出を提案します。この戦略によって仮想キャラクターは、対話者を納得させるために表出すべき感情をその対話者の感情表出から特定することができるようになります。こうした戦略を備えた仮想キャラクターは、Second Life(セカンドライフ)の環境で開発されています。私たちは間接的なインタラクション(すなわち、ユーザが2体の仮想キャラクターのインタラクションを見守っている場合)におけるこの特性の評価を通して、感情戦略が仮想キャラクターの説得力に対するユーザの認識に与える効果について検証しています。
