本年度は3年目に当たる。論文「隅田一族一揆の構造と展開」を『ヒストリア』221号に発表した。本論文では隅田八幡宮に集う隅田一族による祭祀の運営方法を検討した。その結果、従来は一揆の中核とみなされてきた葛原氏は、他氏に超越する惣領家的存在ではなく、小西氏や上田氏などと結んで集団指導体制をとっていたことを示した。また阿部猛編『中世政治史の研究』(日本史史料研究会)に論文「室町期武家の一族分業一沼田小早川氏を中心に一」を寄稿した。沼田小早川氏を主な事例として、室町期の武家領主の「家」が、惣領の権限を子息・兄弟に分散させる組織構造になっていたことを解明した。そして、この体制は戦争に対応するための危機管理対策の所産であったことを説いた。加えて、『東京大学史料編纂所研究紀要』21号に論文「乙訓郡『惣国』の構造一惣国一揆論の再検討一1を発表した。長享・明応年間の乙訓郡「惣国」の具体的・実証的な分析を通じて、議論が複雑に錯綜している惣国一揆の研究史を解きほぐすことを試みたものである。すなわち、国衆の地域的連合である「惣国」と、百姓層をも包摂した「惣国一揆」の区別を提唱した。学会活動としては、2010年6月に、日本史研究会中世史部会にて「国人一揆研究の成果と課題」という研究史整理の発表を行った。一揆研究においては、勝俣鎮夫氏による一連の一揆研究などを契機として、社会史的な一揆論が隆盛した。しかし荘家の一揆や土一揆などの研究が社会史的手法によって進展する一方で、国人一揆は専ら地域権力論や在地領主研究の題材として扱われた。この問題の解決策として、「領主制論」的な問題関心から離れて、一揆論的な視角から国人一揆を研究する必要性を訴えた。なお報告内容の要旨は、『日本史研究』580号に掲載された。
