项目摘要

平成21年度は、(1)研究成果の論文発表、(2)レビュー研究、(3)来年度に実施する実験の計画と修正、ならびに(4)研究校との打ち合わせを行った。このうち研究成果の論文発表としては、Asian Journal of English Language Teachingに"The effects of task-based intercultural instruction on the intercultural competence of Japanese secondary EFL learners"が掲載された。この論文の邦訳論文、「異文化教育を統合したタスク中心の言語教育-日本で英語を学習する高校生の異文化コンピテンスを中心に-」が『上智教育学研究』に掲載された。レビュー研究に関しては、第二言語習得における文化的側面に対する学習者の態度に関する研究の発展動向を展望し、その課題を明らかにした。本研究では次の6点が確認された。(1)文化的側面に対する第二言語学習者の態度研究は、第二言語文化に対する態度が習熟度に与える影響を検討したことから始まり、多くの研究では、第二言語文化に対する友好的な態度や学習志向性が習熟度を予測する。(2)友好的な態度以外にも習熟度に影響を与えている態度がある。(3)一般的な文化に対する態度もまた習熟度を予測する一因として捉えられ、国際的志向性などの概念が生まれた。(4)このような文化的側面に対する態度には、学習環境や学習者の個人差が複雑に絡み合って影響している。(5)留学やネイティブ・スピーカーとの接触機会などの第二言語文化との接触機会が多い場合、積極的・消極的に関わらず、態度変容に影響を与える要因である。(6)第二言語学習経験と学習者の態度の関連性はこれまで実証されていないけれども、異文化教育と統合した第二言語の授業によって学習者の文化に対する態度は積極的に変容する。今後の課題として、授業教育実践によって、このような態度をどのように育成するかという視点をとりいれた研究の充実が期待された。本研究は、「第二言語習得における文化的側面に対する学習者の態度に関する研究の展望と課題」として論文にまとめ、『上智教育学論集』に掲載された。
