In this research, we observed dynamics of the regional integration among ASEAN new member countries, especially in Vietnam through the survey of roads that connect these countries like "East-West Economic Corridor" and exchanged opinions with local scholars and local officials at several workshops in Da Nang and Buon Me Thout(Vietnam), Vientiane (Laos) and Tokyo(Japan). Through these activities mentioned above, we discussed the role of Vietnam in the regional integration and the cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Japan about this subject with the scholars of the Institute for Southeast Asian Studies in Vietnam and we published the results of this discussion as a working paper both in Japan and Vietnam.

在本研究中，通过对连接东盟新成员国的“东西经济走廊”等道路的调查，观察了以越南为中心的东盟新成员国的地区一体化动态，并在越南岘港、邦美图、老挝万象、日本东京等地举办了研讨会，与当地学者和地方官员交换了意见。通过上述活动，我们与越南东南亚研究所的学者讨论了越南在区域一体化中的作用以及越南与日本之间的合作关系，并将讨论结果作为工作文件在日本和越南发表。
