We analyzed functions of candidate responsible genes for 7q- that is frequently observed in myeloid malignancies. Miki (LOC253012) promote prometaphase in mitosis, whereas Eff-1 (Samd9) and Eff-2 (Samd9L) facilitate fusion of endosomes resulting in promotion of ligand-bound ctokine receptors.
