We conducted neuroimaging studies to investigate specific patterns of cognitive-emotional interaction and the underlying neurocircuitry in healthy controls and stress-related psychiatric disorders like depression and eating-disorders. The findings of our studies using various cognitive-emotional tasks and functional magnetic resonance imaging suggest that prefrontal and anterior cingulate cortex cognitively modulate emotional responses mediated by amygdala, and functional changes of these regions are present in stress-related psychiatric disorders.

我们进行了神经影像学研究，以调查健康对照组和压力相关精神疾病（如抑郁症和进食障碍）中认知-情绪相互作用的特定模式和潜在神经回路。我们的研究使用各种认知情绪任务和功能磁共振成像的结果表明，前额叶和前扣带皮层认知调节杏仁核介导的情绪反应，这些区域的功能变化存在于应激相关的精神障碍。
