We established MMP-1 and MMP-9 transgenic rabbits, which express the enzymes in their macrophages. MMP-9 Tg rabbits have granuloma-like lesionin their toes. Female MMP-9 and MMP-12 Tg rabbits were mated with WHHL MI, and hybrid offsprings were obtained.
