Im Teilprojekt B3 soll die Funktion von Homingmolekülen, insbesondere von homöostatischen Chemokinrezeptoren bei der Ausbildung der Immunität im Respirationstrakt mit Hilfe von Mausmodellen untersucht werden. Im Wesentlichen sollen die molekularen Mechanismen zur BALT-Entwicklung aufgeklärt und mittels 2-Photonenmikroskopie Antigenaufnahme und - präsentation im BALT untersucht werden. Ein weiteres Ziel stellt die Identifizierung von Homing-Rezeptoren für die Lunge dar sowie die Untersuchung des Potenzials von modifizierten Vaccinia Virus Ankara, mukosale Immunität in der Lunge zu initiieren.
